OptoNova has worked closely with CSI (formerly Alcoa CSI, now part of Rand Corp.) to develop a system for inspecting the safety, liners and decoration of closures. The system is called ACIS, which stands for Automatic Closure Inspection System. ACIS is installed on the customer’s production line, where it inspects the closures internally and externally.
ACIS ensures high product quality and cuts production costs by completely replacing manual inspection and by the system immediately sounding the alarm in the case of disruptions to production or systematic faults.
ACIS helps to increase competitiveness and has been supplied in large volumes to producers in Europe and Asia.
